Lead snowboarding researcher, responsible for writing 212-page Olympic Snowboarding Research Manual for the 2022 NBC Olympics Research Team, to prep the broadcast team for covering 11 snowboarding disciplines at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games including men’s and women’s slopestyle, parallel giant slalom, snowboard cross, mixed team snowboard cross, halfpipe, and big air. Each section included a competition overview, a recap of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics and overview of Olympic history in the discipline, event previews and early predictions, full bios on each of the American competitors and other top contenders, and a summary of Olympic records and potential Olympic history statistics to watch for.
Also served as in-booth Statistician for the snowboarding and freestyle skiing big air events. Created half-sheet notecards on every big air competitor, 120 athletes in total, to prep the NBC Sports commentary team. Worked closely with play-by-play commentator Shane Bacon, snowboarding analyst Kelly Clark, freestyle skiing analyst Tom Wallisch, field reporter Samuel Brock, reporter Tina Dixon, and producers Aaron Feldstein and Shane Bishop to ensure accuracy across the broadcasts. In-booth responsibilities included logging tricks, tracking Olympic records history, live fact-checking, managing in-the-moment statistics, and otherwise supporting in-booth talent and other NBC Sports on-air talent.
